In the United States and around the world, many kids in their pre-teen and teenage years have become strongly addicted and dependent on technology. Whether it might be going on the computer, using their cellphone, or watching TV. All of these kinds of media makes everyone just more addicted and makes it harder to try to not use it as much. I am not afraid or ashamed to say that I am one of those people who are addicted to media such as my cellphone and my computer. Not just that, but I do watch a lot of TV as well, so that makes me even more addicted. But, I mean I could live without using my cellphone and computer, but its just a TV in which I can't. I really do consume a lot of media daily, about 4 or more hours, but I don't just stay inside all day texting on my phone or on the Internet.
I usually do the same routine almost everyday once I get home from school on weekdays: get home, do my homework, eat, watch TV, go on the computer, sometimes go outside, sometimes read for like half an hour or more, then watch TV again, and go to sleep. Ever since I've been using so much media everyday, whether its listening to music on my iPod or something like that, I've realized I've become lazy. I also became a little lazy when one of my cousins or siblings asks me to go play something outside like throwing a football or playing Frisbee. In a lot of articles that I found on the Internet, many of them said that technology makes kids become inactive when they use it. I totally agree with this because it has also made me inactive, but not completely inactive. So, there are some positive things to using technology, but there are more negative effects on you.
